Description
Unit: Surgical Oncology (PCU/Med-Surg)
Contract: 16 Weeks
Shift: Days/Nights Rotation or Nights
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years
Unit Overview
12 James Surgical Oncology is a high-acuity mixed PCU and Medical-Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric oncology patients. The unit is fast-paced, and all permanent staff are PCU trained.

- Hepatobiliary (Liver, Pancreas, Spleen, Biliary Tract Cancers, Neuroendocrine Tumors)
- Colorectal (Colon and Rectal Cancer)
- Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (Breast Cancer and Sarcoma Reconstruction)

Required Certifications

Staffing & Scheduling
- Target Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 (may increase to 1:5)
- Weekend rotation based on unit needs
- Self-scheduling requests available
- No block or guaranteed scheduling
- Travelers may float within their scope of practice
- Rotating D/N contracts may include day shifts, night shifts, or both depending on staffing needs
- Schedule reviewed every 4 weeks
