X-Ray Technologist

Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable
Schedule:

Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for operating radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the examination process and addressing any questions or concerns.
Position patients correctly and operate radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Adjust equipment settings and exposure factors to ensure optimal imaging results.
Practice radiation safety techniques, including patient shielding and beam restriction, to minimize radiation exposure.
Adhere to established infection control policies and safety procedures.
Review radiographic images and make necessary adjustments to maintain image quality.
Document patient care services and accurately complete and verify examinations in departmental records.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; coordinate repairs when necessary.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
Graduate of a JCERT-approved or AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
New York State License (L.R.T.).
ARRT
Competency in performing diagnostic radiologic procedures.
