Description
Location: Charleston, WV
Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Req #: 71271
Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Start Date: Every other Thursday (once fully cleared)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a regional tertiary care obstetrics unit providing care for both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies. Candidates must be willing and able to float to the Mother Baby unit when Labor & Delivery census allows.
- Document patient care using Cerner, Surginet, and Fetallink.
Requirements
- Active West Virginia RN License or Compact RN License (pending accepted at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Cerner experience required
- Experience with:
- Labor & Delivery
- OB Triage
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- IV Starts
- OR Circulating
- Scrub experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted based on overall experience
Schedule & Additional Information
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to Mother Baby unit
- Block Scheduling: Not permitted
- 100-mile local radius rule (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)
- COVID Vaccine: Not required
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct. 1–Mar. 31) unless medically exempt
