• Shift Options:

  • 3x12s

  • Combination of 2x8s and 2x12s

  • 5x8s

• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends as needed

• Holiday Requirement: As needed

• On-Call/Callback: Required (details discussed during interview)

• Floating Required: To all Neuroscience locations and RGH Operating Room

• First-Time Travelers Accepted

Requirements

• Active New York RN License required prior to submission

• Minimum 1 year RNFA experience required

• Recent Surgical First Assist experience

• EPIC experience required

• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible

RNFA Skills

• Surgical first assisting

• Suturing all wound layers, including fascia and muscle

• Clamping and cauterizing vessels and tissues

• Inserting drainage tubes

• Tissue manipulation and digital pressure

• Suctioning, irrigation, and sponging

• Wound dressing application

• Surgical counts with circulating nurse

• Aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance

• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance
