Description

TItle: RN – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Washington, DC

Shift

7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
On-call: Nights, weekends, and holidays

Work Requirement

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (Travel RN requirement)

Minimum Qualifications

Active RN license in the state/district
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
2 years of acute care Operating Room (OR) experience
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
PALS
BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

Scrub and/or circulate during surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile operating room
Adhere to aseptic and sterile techniques
Perform pre-operative patient preparation
Coordinate intraoperative patient care
Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers
Prepare surgical instruments and equipment
Ensure implants and supplies are available
Maintain patient safety and documentation
Communicate with patients, families, and surgical team
