RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Nights

Shift: Nights
Schedule: GWW 36 or 48 hours (please specify the traveler's preference upon submission; if not specified, 36 hours will be assumed)

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/acute care experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must pass the EKG exam – no exceptions
• Pending licenses are not accepted

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Schedule

• Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required

Floating

• Travelers must be willing to float within their scope of practice and between like units to meet facility needs.

Traveler Guidelines

• Local travelers are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
• Travel pairs are not accepted on this unit.
• Requested Time Off (RTO) is subject to manager approval.
• Travelers may be called off up to 2 shifts during a 13-week assignment. After that, all contracted hours are guaranteed.

Return Traveler Policy

• Travelers must be away from the facility for 1 year before returning.
• Maximum of 2 contracts (initial contract plus one extension). After that, a 6-month break is required before returning.
