Description

Radiation Therapist
Location: The George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8, M - F, 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Minimum 3–5 years of Radiation Therapist experience required.
Current ARRT (RT(T)), (CMRT) license and BLS required.
Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy preferred.

Experience -

Experience delivering radiation therapy under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
Experience working with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists in simulation, treatment planning, and dose calculations.
Responsible for daily warm-up and quality assurance of treatment machines and CT simulator.
Experience educating patients and families on radiation therapy procedures.
Knowledge of standard radiation treatment protocols and documentation.
Experience with:
- Linear Accelerator
- CT Simulator
- ADAC Treatment Planning System
- VARIS System
Weekend on-call participation may be required.
