Description
Radiation Therapist
Location: The George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8, M - F, 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Minimum 3–5 years of Radiation Therapist experience required.
- Current ARRT (RT(T)), (CMRT) license and BLS required.
- Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy preferred.
- Experience delivering radiation therapy under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
- Experience working with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists in simulation, treatment planning, and dose calculations.
- Responsible for daily warm-up and quality assurance of treatment machines and CT simulator.
- Experience educating patients and families on radiation therapy procedures.
- Knowledge of standard radiation treatment protocols and documentation.
- Experience with:
- Linear Accelerator
- CT Simulator
- ADAC Treatment Planning System
- VARIS System
- Weekend on-call participation may be required.
