Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN for a 14-week night assignment at LBH - Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. This 37-bed Med/Surg unit offers 1:5 patient ratios and cares for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions including respiratory distress, sepsis, tracheostomy care, and telemetry monitoring. Travel experience required.

Job Duties:

• Provide direct clinical nursing care to adult and geriatric Medical Surgical patients.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Manage respiratory care needs including oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and non-invasive airway support.
• Monitor telemetry patients, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to clinical emergencies.
• Administer medications including insulin and heparin while following safety protocols.
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, PICC lines, blood products, and peripheral access.
• Provide wound care, drain management, and assist with feeding tube care.
• Support patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress, possible sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, altered mental status, pain, generalized weakness, and abnormal labs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR.

Requirements:

Licensure: Valid Maryland or Compact RN License required at time of submission.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience; travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, NIHSS, Trauma Certifications preferred.
