Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Location: 310 East 14th Street, New York, NY 10003
Facility: Mount Sinai Beth Israel – OR Unit
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Schedule: 40 hours/week

Note: Circulating experience in Ophthalmology, ENT, and Plastic Surgery required.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join the OR team at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. The RN will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
Perform both circulating and scrubbing duties in the operating room.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families regarding the surgical plan of care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a positive team environment.

Requirements:

Active New York State RN License
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
CNOR certification
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
Experience with both scrubbing and circulating
Circulating experience in Ophthalmology, ENT, and Plastic Surgery required
Scrubbing experience required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
