🩺 Registered Nurse – InfusionĀ

ā³ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)

Shift: Day – 5x8 Hour Shifts

• Variable schedule: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Hospital-based Outpatient Infusion Center
• EPIC documentation system utilized

• Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center

Patient Population:

• Solid Tumor Cancers
• Lymphomas
• Chronic Leukemia
• Iron Deficiency
• Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)
• Neuro-Oncology patients

Special Procedures:

• Bone Marrow Aspirations
• Intravesical Chemotherapy for Bladder Cancer
• Intrathecal Chemotherapy

Special Equipment:

• Cyracom Interpreter System
• Blood Warmer
• Hoyer Lift
• Vein Finder
• Ultrasound-Guided IV Machine

šŸ“‹ Requirements:

• Active RN License
• Minimum 1 year of Infusion Nursing experience required
• Previous Infusion Center and Outpatient Oncology experience required
• BLS Certification required
• ONS/ONCC Certification required
• EPIC experience required

⭐ Preferred:

• ACLS Certification
• OCN Certification
• Previous Charge Nurse experience

🩺 Required Skills:

• Outpatient infusion nursing
• Chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration
• Peripheral IV starts and vascular access management

• Central line care and management
• Blood product administration
• Oncology patient assessment and monitoring

• Safe handling of hazardous medications
• Symptom management and patient education

• EPIC documentation proficiency
• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving outpatient infusion therapies
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, hydration, and supportive infusions

• Perform IV starts and maintain peripheral and central vascular access
• Assist with specialized procedures including bone marrow aspirations, intravesical chemotherapy, and intrathecal chemotherapy

• Monitor patients for infusion reactions and treatment-related complications
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and symptom management

• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary care teams

• Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered infusion care
