📍 Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
đź“Ś Facility Location: 2900 1st Ave, Huntington, WV 25702
⏰ Shifts: Day 3x12-Hour (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) – Additional shift options of 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM and 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
📆 Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Description:
• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume Operating Room serving a wide range of surgical specialties
• Work 3x12-hour day shifts with flexibility to cover 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM schedules
• Every other weekend availability required (typically Saturdays)
• No on-call requirement
• Circulating experience is required; scrub experience is preferred
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after operative procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
• Must be able to support multiple surgical specialties, including:
- Trauma
- Cardiovascular/Thoracic (CVT)
- Neurosurgery
- Orthopedics
- Cataract/Ophthalmology
- ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
- Additional general surgical procedures as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient surgical care
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license required at the time of submission (temporary or pending licenses are not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, patient safety, infection prevention, and perioperative documentation required
