Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. The Respiratory Therapist will provide life-support, resuscitation, respiratory monitoring, and medical gas therapy to patients in both intensive care and general patient care units. The role includes performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures, documenting patient care accurately, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and assisting with the supervision of respiratory therapy students and new staff as assigned.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide respiratory care, life-support, and resuscitation services.
• Administer medical gas therapy and respiratory treatments.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status.
• Accurately document all patient care and treatment provided.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
• Supervise and assist respiratory therapy students, orientees, and support staff as assigned.
• Complete patient billing documentation accurately.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Bachelor's preferred).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.
• Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend.
