Description

Travel RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Location: Melbourne, Florida
Specialty: CVOR (Open Heart)
Unit: Open Heart (1004220)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Shift: Days – 4×10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of acute care CVOR experience
Previous travel experience required (First-time travelers not accepted)
Florida RN License or Compact License required at submission
BLS required
ACLS preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Experience with a 1:1 patient ratio
Must provide 2 recent professional references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) from within the last year
Interview availability (EST) required at submission
SSN and DOB required at submission

Required Clinical Experience

Candidates should have experience with:

Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
Mitral Valve Replacement
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Femoral-Popliteal Bypass Graft
Percutaneous Coronary Angioplasty
Pacemaker Placement
Heart Valve Replacement
Peripheral Vascular Bypass
Creation, Revision, and Removal of AV Fistula
Lobectomy
Insertion, Replacement, and Removal of Ventricular Shunts

Patient Ratio: 1:1
Operating Rooms: 6
Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Charting System: Epic
Floating: Required
On-Call: Required
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (or approximately 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract, based on unit needs)
Orientation: 12 clinical hours plus 16 non-billable orientation hours
