Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Cancer Center Infusion to support oncology nursing education and clinical excellence. This is a Central Office–based position (not located at a cancer treatment facility) that requires travel to select NYC Health Hospitals facilities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based educational programs for oncology nursing staff.
- Conduct competency validation and clinical education initiatives.
- Collaborate with nurse leaders, clinical specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to support orientation, professional development, and continuing education.
- Monitor compliance with oncology-specific regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards, including ONS guidelines and chemotherapy/immunotherapy competency requirements.
- Travel to designated NYC Health Hospitals facilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification
- Current Oncology Nurse Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Chemotherapy Infusion experience
- IV insertion and phlebotomy skills
- Previous Preceptor experience
- Strong knowledge of oncology nursing standards and chemotherapy administration

- Chemotherapy Certification is required.
- Preceptor experience is required.
- This is a Central Office–based role and not based at a cancer treatment facility.
- Travel to select NYC Health Hospitals facilities is required (specific locations will be discussed during the interview).
- Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.
- Focus on oncology staff education, competency validation, orientation, and professional development while ensuring compliance with ONS and organizational standards.
