🕒 Shift Options:

• Days: 3x12 (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

• Nights: 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  
  Position Highlights

• Adult & Geriatric ICU

• 22-bed Intensive Care Unit

• Patient Ratio: 1:2

• Every other weekend required

• Rotating holidays

• Cerner charting preferred

• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate

Minimum Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN License or Compact RN License

• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS (AHA)

• NIHSS

• Cerner experience preferred

• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred

Critical Care Experience

Candidates should have experience with:

• Ventilator management

• BiPAP/CPAP & High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

• Arterial line management

• Central line & PICC line care

• Chest tube management

• Blood product administration

• Interpretation of ABGs

• Continuous IV sedation & paralytics

• Titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips

• CVA/Stroke management

• Renal failure management

• Dysrhythmia recognition and management

• Multisystem organ failure

• IV insulin protocols

• Emergency response and critical care monitoring

Preferred Experience

• Medical ICU (MICU)

• Surgical ICU (SICU)

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)

• ECMO, IABP, Impella, CRRT/CVVHD, CABG, Swan-Ganz monitoring, LVAD/RVAD (preferred but not required)

Facility Requirements

• Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius, if needed.

• Fingerprinting, drug screen, labs, and demographic paperwork must be completed within 24–48 hours of signing.

• Compliance must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to the start date.

• Former permanent employees of Independence Health System are not eligible to return as travelers.
