Description

Job Title: Travel RN – Endoscopy

Facility: Henry Ford Health System – Henry Ford St. John's Hospital
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Start Date: August 11, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks (Ends November 7, 2026)
Positions Available: 2
Shift: Days, 5 x 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:00 PM; flexible start time of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM)
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Description

The Endoscopy RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the endoscopy procedure and recovery process. The nurse will:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor patients receiving deep sedation or general anesthesia.
  • Care for both outpatient and inpatient endoscopy patients.
  • Recover patients following GI procedures.
  • Educate patients and families before and after procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Document care accurately and ensure quality patient outcomes.

  • Endoscopy/GI Department
  • 6 Recovery Rooms
  • Outpatient procedures with inpatient add-on cases
  • Limited Saturday coverage

Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN License
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • BSN preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills
