Description
Job Title: Travel RN – Endoscopy
Facility: Henry Ford Health System – Henry Ford St. John's Hospital
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Start Date: August 11, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks (Ends November 7, 2026)
Positions Available: 2
Shift: Days, 5 x 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:00 PM; flexible start time of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Description
The Endoscopy RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the endoscopy procedure and recovery process. The nurse will:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor patients receiving deep sedation or general anesthesia.
- Care for both outpatient and inpatient endoscopy patients.
- Recover patients following GI procedures.
- Educate patients and families before and after procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document care accurately and ensure quality patient outcomes.
Unit Details
- Endoscopy/GI Department
- 6 Recovery Rooms
- Outpatient procedures with inpatient add-on cases
- Limited Saturday coverage
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN License
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BSN preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills
