Travel RN – Med/Surg Tele | Gardner, MA

📍 Location: Gardner, MA
🏥 Unit: Watkins II Med/Surg Tele
⏳ Contract: 13 Weeks
🕐 Shift: Days | 5×8s | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
💼 Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
👩‍⚕️ Patient Ratio: 1:5

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a busy Med/Surg unit with Telemetry

• ACLS required

• Active Massachusetts RN License

• First-time travelers not accepted

• Travel experience required by the unit

• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate

Preferred

• NIHSS

• CPI

• Trauma Level II experience

• Telemetry Oncology experience

Clinical Skills

• Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation

• Heparin protocols

• IV starts, phlebotomy, PICC and central line management

• Blood product administration

• CBI and renal failure care

• BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes and tracheostomy care

• Neurological patients including CVA, seizures, intracranial bleeds and TBI

• Wound care and wound vacs

• Feeding tubes and surgical drains

• IV insulin protocols

Schedule & Unit Details

• 40 hours/week | Days

• Every other weekend

• Every other holiday

• No call requirement

• No floating requirement

• Block scheduling

• Orientation: 16 hours with a preceptor

• Scrubs: Any color

• EMR: Meditech Expanse

• Medication System: Omnicell
