Title: RN – Med/Surg

Location: New York, NY
Shift: 12x3 Night

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients.
• Administer and document prescribed medications.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV therapy.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry.
• Assess and report adverse medication reactions promptly.
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts.
• Follow nursing standards, protocols, and infection-control practices.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
• Experience in a large acute-care hospital or post-acute facility.
• Most recent relevant experience must be within the past 1 year.
• Strong skills in:
  • Physical assessment
  • Medication administration
  • Wound care & infection control
  • IV therapy
  • Post-operative care
  • Patient education
  • Telemetry monitoring
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
• New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification.
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS required for Queens locations

Preferred

• EPIC EMR experience
