Position: Operating Room RN
Contract: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days, 5×8
Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Charting: Epic

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of Operating Room RN experience

• Previous travel nursing experience required

• Epic experience required

• BLS required

• Community hospital experience preferred

• Experience with a broad range of surgical cases

Experience with:

• General surgery

• Gynecology

• Urology

• ENT

• Pediatric surgery

• Plastics

• Dental/oral surgery

• Endoscopic procedures

• Robotic surgery

• Laparoscopic procedures

• C-sections and gynecologic procedures

• Appendectomy and cholecystectomy

• Colon resection

• Hernia repair

• Mastectomy and breast procedures

• Thyroidectomy

• Cystoscopy and nephrectomy

• Prostatectomy and TURP

• Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy

• Tracheostomy

• PEG tube procedures

ROBOTIC SURGERY EXPERIENCE

Experience with:

• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System

• Colorectal robotic surgery

• GI robotic surgery

• Gynecologic robotic surgery

• Urologic robotic surgery

CLINICAL & SAFETY SKILLS

• Blood and blood product administration

• Cardiac monitoring

• Infection control

• Laser and radiation safety

• Specimen handling and labeling

• Universal Protocol/Time-Out

• Urinary catheterization

• Code response

• Fire safety

• Malignant hyperthermia protocols

• Electrosurgical units

• Steris equipment

• Fiber optic light sources and cords
