UT Health Tyler Hospital – Tyler, TX
Position: Labor & Delivery RN
Contract: 13 Weeks
Openings: 2
Shift: 3×12 Nights
Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Charting: Epic
Patient Ratio: Labor 1:2 | Antepartum 1:3 | Mother/Baby 1:3
REQUIREMENTS
-
2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
-
First-time travelers are NOT accepted
-
Previous travel nursing experience required

Epic experience required
-
BLS, ACLS, NRP
-
AWHONN Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced certifications
-
Previous charge experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Level I Trauma experience preferred
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Experience with:

Labor and delivery management

High-risk deliveries

Vaginal deliveries

C-section recovery and circulating

Hemorrhage/shock management

Amnioinfusion

Fetal monitoring and abnormal fetal heart rate patterns

Internal and external fetal monitoring

IUPC placement and calibration

Sterile vaginal examinations

OB triage
-
Antepartum and high-risk antepartum care

Magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, terbutaline and prostaglandins

Epidural and pain management
-
Postpartum hemorrhage

Cesarean and postpartum care

Mother/Baby and couplet care

Newborn assessment and stabilization
-
APGAR scoring
-
Newborn hypoglycemia and phototherapy

Breastfeeding/lactation support

Neonatal care in the delivery room
