Registered Nurse – Neuro
Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital
Start Date: 09/28/2026
Schedule: Days 5x8 (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
On-Call: Not required

Important: Candidate must have a car and be able to travel between three locations as required by the assignment.

Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing safe, competent, and high-quality nursing care to a designated group of patients. The RN applies the nursing process, evidence-based practices, clinical judgment, and professional nursing standards to assess patient needs and deliver appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practices.
Assess patients, identify care needs, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Provide patient and caregiver education regarding care plans, transitions of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
Establish therapeutic relationships while respecting patient preferences and cultural needs.
Conduct purposeful rounding and promote patient safety.
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing initiatives.
Facilitate patient throughput and perform charge nurse duties when assigned.
Support appropriate use of staffing, equipment, supplies, and other resources.
Maintain professional conduct, clinical competency, compassion, and respect.

Requirements

Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Minimum 2 years of Neuro/Neurology experience
2 years of Med-Surg/Ambulatory Care experience preferred
EPIC experience highly preferred
BSN required
Must be able to travel to three locations
Must have a car
