Key Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience
• NY RN license required and must be in hand at submission
• BLS required
• Epic experience is a hard requirement
• Chronic dialysis experience required
• Charge Nurse or Team Lead experience required
• Must be able to run a 4:1 patient assignment
• Must be able to charge a 21-station dialysis unit
• Outpatient/chronic dialysis experience preferred
• Travel experience not required
• Candidates within 75 miles are not accepted for the travel rate

Dialysis Skills

• Fresenius machine setup/stringing
• Initiating and setting up dialysis treatments
• AV fistula and AV graft cannulation
• Tunneled/non-tunneled catheter care
• Dialysate conductivity testing
• Machine alarm troubleshooting
• Blood return and post-dialysis care
• Management of complications such as:
  • Hypotension
  • Hyperkalemia
  • Fluid overload
  • Air emboli
  • Hemolysis
  • Blood leak
  • Disequilibrium syndrome
  • Cardiac arrest/CPR
  • Chest pain

Schedule

• 5:30 AM – 10:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Generally Monday–Friday, with days varying according to staffing
• Rotating weekends required
• Occasional Sunday due to holidays
• Floating required to other dialysis locations within the system
• No block schedule
