Description

Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10s or 5x8s, Days, 40 hrs/week
Start Date: 9/21/2026

Requirements:

2 years experience; IR/Special Procedures experience.
Associate's Degree or equivalent approved Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT required active DC/state license.
BLS (AHA) required.
Must live 100 miles from the facility.
Experience assisting physicians with interventional procedures, special procedures & imaging/scans.
Knowledge of radiation safety/quality standards required.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for radiological functions for special procedures and other interventional examinations.
Assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol.
Observes patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
