Description
Job Title: PET/CT Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Job Category: Clinical - Allied
Schedule Notes: Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Special Requirement: Dual License in Nuclear and CT
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Must be able to start peripheral IV access lines.
-
Must be able to perform injection procedures including manual unit doses and dose delivery systems (such as Medrad Intego).

Operating knowledge of personal computers, camera and processing workstations, medical charting systems, PACS, and RIS.
-
Capable of a flexible work schedule, with the possibility of working more than 8-hour days as required.

Professional and ethical communication skills with attending, resident, and fellow personnel.

Ability to produce high-quality special imaging with minimal supervision and function effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Competency in processing PET/CT imaging, including Axial Fusion processing, Myeloma Kidney Standard Cut, and Coronal Cut.

Ability to perform quality assurance on PET cameras (X-ray, PET, and monthly constancy) and dose calibrators/wipe counters (Intego, AtomLab 500).

Adherence to SNMMI Quality Standards (including CPR, Infection Control, and Imaging with the association of Anesthesia).
Required Education:
-
Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-
Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB-NMT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N).

Active license from the State of New York Department of Health as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Diagnostic with Injection Registered).

Active CT certification to perform diagnostic CT and PET/CT fusion imaging (ARRT-Computed Tomography).

Maintenance of active Nuclear Medicine, CT licenses, and BLS certification.
