🏥 About the Unit

This Acute Rehab Unit cares for adult and geriatric patients who require continued rehabilitation after hospitalization. Patients typically receive physical, occupational and/or speech therapy for at least one week.

Common patient populations include:
• Stroke/TIA
• Hip & femur fractures
• Total joint replacements
• Back/neck surgery
• CHF
• Falls, weakness & AMS
• COPD, pneumonia & other medical-surgical conditions

Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 on nights
Charting: Epic
Trauma: Level II
Stroke Center: Level II
Daily Census: Approximately 15

📋 Requirements

✅ Active RN license or Compact RN license
✅ BSN required
✅ Minimum 2 years RN experience
✅ Travel experience required
✅ First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience
✅ BLS required
✅ NIHSS required
⭐ ACLS preferred
⭐ Previous charge experience preferred
⭐ Acute rehab experience preferred
⭐ Must pass Basic EKG/Telemetry exam with 80% — 2 attempts allowed

📅 Schedule & Expectations

• 3x12-hour night shifts
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday block required
• Floating to like units may be required
• Must complete facility-required education
• Strong attendance and teamwork expected
