Description
Title: Respiratory Therapist – RRT | Reno, NV
Location: Reno, Nevada
Specialty: Respiratory Therapist – NICU/Adult
Schedule: 3×12-hour Day Shifts
Local Rule: Candidate must live 100 miles away from Reno, NV.
🔴 Critical Must-Have Experience
Do NOT submit candidates without NICU experience.
Candidate must have:
- 3 years Level III NICU experience
- NICU transport experience
- High-frequency ventilation
- Nitric oxide
- Heliox
- Neonatal intubation
- Neonatal ventilator management
- Bubble CPAP
- Heated high-flow therapy for neonates
- Neonatal arterial puncture
- Delivery attendance
- Adult critical-care experience
- Neonatal critical-care experience
Required Credentials
- RRT credentials
- ABG license
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
Floating / Call
- Traveler may be scheduled for on-call
- Must float throughout:
- Adult critical care
- Neonatal critical care
Primary Responsibilities
The RRT provides respiratory care under physician prescription, including:
- Diagnostic evaluation and cardiopulmonary testing
- Obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens
- Interpreting physiologic data
- Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Artificial airway management
- Medical gas administration
- Bronchopulmonary hygiene
- Respiratory medications
- Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
- Hemodynamic/cardiovascular respiratory support
- Patient/family education
