Location: 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960
Facility: Morristown Medical Center
Unit: Simon 2 NV Stepdown
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s – 36 hours/week

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a Medical Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, evidence-based patient care.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Intermediate Care/Stepdown RN experience – Required
Active RN License – Required
BLS Certification – Required
ACLS Certification – Required
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree – Preferred
Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
Excellent communication and computer skills

Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
Provide safe and individualized care to patients in an intermediate/stepdown setting.
Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Promote evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Demonstrate professionalism, respect, involvement, dignity, and excellence in daily practice.
Utilize computer systems effectively for documentation and patient care.
