RN – ICU Travel
Location: 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960
Facility: Morristown Medical Center – K3 Stepdown Unit
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s – 36 hours/week

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a High Acuity Stepdown Unit at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate must have prior ICU experience and be comfortable caring for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of ICU experience – Required
Active RN License – Required
BLS Certification – Required
ACLS Certification – Required
Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
Knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
Strong documentation and patient safety skills
Ability to provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
Ability to educate patients and families
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – Preferred

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive and accurate patient assessments.
Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care.
Monitor high-acuity patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Follow patient safety standards and National Patient Safety Goals.
Provide patient and family education.
Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments as required.
Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team.
Maintain professional and compassionate communication with patients, families, and coworkers.

Additional Details

Unit: K3 Stepdown Unit – High Acuity SDU
ICU experience is required for this assignment.
On-call may be required.
Floating may be required as needed.
