RN – Telemetry Float Pool

Location: 211 Church St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Requirements

• 2 years specialty experience preferred/required for travel compliance
• At least 1 year current Telemetry/Stepdown experience
• Nurses with several years RN experience 1 year recent Telemetry/Stepdown may be considered
• Active NY RN license in hand at submission
• BLS ACLS
• NIHSS — can be obtained before start
• EPIC charting experience required
• Telemetry/rhythm interpretation experience
• Must be able to manage IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions
• CVA/stroke care experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred, but not required

Critical Requirement – EKG

Candidate must:

• Complete the Relias EKG exam within 72 hours after signing
• Pass the onsite/hospital EKG test with at least 85% overall
• Identify 100% of critical rhythms correctly
• A retest may be offered if the score is >80% but <85%, provided all critical rhythms are identified and remediation is completed, at facility discretion.

• Telemetry Float Pool
• Ratio: 1:4–5
• Will float within the hospital as needed, within skill set
• MS/Telemetry
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Rapid response/code team experience
• IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Peripheral line management
• Oxygen/respiratory support
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Local / Radius Rule

• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles are not accepted as travelers.
• Additional county restrictions apply to residents of:
  Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster.
