Description

Registered Nurse – ICU
Mosaic Life Care – St. Joseph, MO
Location: 5325 Faraon St, Saint Joseph, MO 64506
Start Date: 10/20/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 4x12 hours (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
Hours: 36 or 48 hrs/week
Schedule: Self-scheduling; block schedule accommodated
Weekend: Every 3rd weekend (6-week schedule period)
Float: Required
Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2; may flex to 1:3 based on acuity/staffing
Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics
Charting: Epic
Travelers: First-time travelers accepted

Requirements

2 years of ICU RN experience
ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC required
Tele/EKG exam required
RTO limited to 2 requests per contract
Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only
COVID vaccine not required

Unit Information

24-bed Surgical ICU
Daily census: ~18
Diverse patient population
No burns, pediatrics, transplants, or ECMO
Orientation: 24 hours
Scrubs: Any color/brand

Clinical Experience/Skills

Ventilator, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC and respiratory failure management
Arterial/central/PICC line care and management
Blood products and IV therapy
Chest tubes, bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and paracentesis
CRRT/CVVHD
Cardiac drips, vasoactive drips and continuous sedation
EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation and management
CVP, Swan-Ganz/Hemosphere, Impella and IABP
ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies
Stroke, TBI, post-neurosurgery and multisystem organ failure management
IV insulin protocols and phlebotom

Special Equipment: Impella, IABP, ICP, ventriculostomies, Swan-Ganz/Hemosphere and NxStage CRRT.
