Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location: Baltimore, MD 21201
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: Rotating 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts; 06:45 AM–03:15 PM and 06:45 AM–07:15 PM; every other weekend; holidays as scheduled
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Charting System: Epic
Float Required: Yes, within specialty
Call Requirement: Yes; 4 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule with a 60-minute response time
Note: Strong circulating experience required; scrubbing experience preferred. Must have experience in Neuro, Ortho/Spine, Craniotomy, General Surgery (open, laparoscopic, and robotic), ENT, and OMF. First-time travelers not accepted. Flu vaccine required.

Position Overview: The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety, effective surgical coordination, and adherence to evidence-based clinical standards in a high-acuity teaching hospital.

Requirements:
License: Active Maryland RN License or Compact License
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience; previous travel experience required; community hospital experience required. Charge/lead experience and teaching or Level I/II trauma experience preferred.
Certifications: BLS – AHA required; ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CNOR preferred.
Other requirement: Strong circulating skills required; scrub experience across surgical cases preferred. Epic experience required. Must be comfortable floating within specialty.
