Description
Registered Nurse – Pediatric Behavioral Health
Location: Syracuse, NY
Start Date: 10/23/2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Days | 3×12s | 07:00 AM–07:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Pediatric Behavioral Health to provide care to child and adolescent psychiatric patients in an acute care setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience within specialty required
- Recent experience with both adult and adolescent patients
- Inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric experience required
- Active New York RN license at the time of submission
- BLS required and must be eligible for recertification
- EPIC experience preferred
- IV therapy experience required
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Strong nursing assessment, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Travel experience preferred
- Experience in a hospital of similar or greater size/acuity, preferably Level I or II trauma
- Must be willing to float to other areas/campus locations as needed
