Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location: Baltimore, MD 21215
Start Date: 11/23/2026
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM; every Saturday and Sunday; block schedule available; 2 eight-hour weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Charting System: Cerner/SurgiNet
Float Required: Yes, within scope and facility needs
Call Requirement: Yes; 1 on-call shift per week
Note: General OR and Level II trauma experience required. Must be proficient in trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, oral/dental, laparoscopic procedures, urology, ophthalmology, GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, vascular, and thoracic procedures. Local candidates accepted. Scrubs provided.

Position Overview: The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides safe, age-appropriate perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties, supporting complex surgical procedures through evidence-based practice, advanced technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements:
License: Active Maryland RN License or Compact License.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience; Level II trauma experience required. Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred. First-time travelers accepted.
Certifications: BLS required; 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course and 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs required. ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS preferred.
Other requirement: Cerner/SurgiNet experience preferred; proficiency in emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia and latex allergy precautions; experience with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment.
