Job Summary
The MRI Technologist operates specialized equipment to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures and applies technical judgment to obtain diagnostic-quality images according to established protocols and patient needs.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physical sciences, and MRI physics.

Ability to perform MRI procedures, position patients, and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Knowledge of MRI safety protocols, patient screening, and infection control.

Experience with image evaluation, PACS, and radiology information systems.

Breast MRI proficiency required; breast MRI biopsy experience preferred.

Two years of MRI experience preferred.
Required Education
-
Graduation from a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Required Certifications & Licensure
-
Active New York State License (L.R.T.).

ARRT certification in MRI.
-
New York State IV certification.
-
BLS certification.
