Now Hiring: Travel RN – Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/IMU) | Lynchburg, VA

Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
 Start Date: November 16, 2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
 Shift: Nights | 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts
 Shift Timing: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
 Open Positions: 1

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the IMC/IMU specialty; 2–3 years of overall experience preferred

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Cerner experience preferred

• Experience with cardiac telemetry, stepdown, and intermediate care

• Patient ratio: 1:4 (unit details)

• Every other weekend required

• Must be willing to float to intermediate care and Med-Surg units

• Candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted

Clinical Experience:

• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management

• Cardiac drips, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, and Dobutamine

• Respiratory care, including BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen

• Post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI care

• Neurological care, including stroke and seizure management

• Central lines, PICC lines, wound vacs, and chest tubes

Additional Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population

• 21-bed unit with an average daily census of 20

• Any color scrubs accepted

• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions considered

• Nicotine-free campus
