Description

Travel RN – Operating Room (OR)
UT Health Jacksonville | Jacksonville, TX
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 5x8s | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
Active RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications
Epic charting experience required
Travel experience preferred, but not required
On-call required, including rotating and weekend call
Every third weekend coverage
One pre-approved time-off request allowed

Preferred Clinical Experience:

General surgery, thoracic, orthopedic and spine procedures
Urology, GI, colorectal, ENT and OB/GYN cases
Laparoscopic procedures, joint replacements and spinal fusions
Infection control, specimen handling, surgical time-outs and wound management
Blood product administration and surgical equipment safety

Unit Details:

5 operating rooms
Average daily census: 7
Patient population: Pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics
Call may account for approximately 30%; may need to assist with patient recovery when on call
