timing: night/day rotating as per staffing needs of facility
Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts/week. schedule to be determined by facility needs - no specific or set schedules
Duration: 13 week initial duration

Job Description:

1. Monitor inmate/resident hospitalizations for early release eligibility.
2. Observe and document behavior. Inspect and secure the medical unit, disposing of contraband risks.
3. Escort or coordinate inmate/resident transport for medical care.
4. Conduct searches for contraband on persons and objects.
5. Perform security checks in confined areas and during shifts. De-escalate or prevent disruptive situations.
6. Supervise and guide nursing and non-licensed medical staff.
7. Collaborate with facility staff and external providers. Follow policies and exercise sound judgment in all tasks.

• Active RN license in the state of Kansas or Compact/multistate license
• Must have one year of professional nursing experience.
