Description

What You Can Expect:
The RN will assist with the following:
- Provides hands-on education and clinical oversight to clinical support staff related to CDC recommendations related to immunizations, communicable diseases, and blood and bodily fluid exposures specific to Occupational Health patients and employers.
- Acts as a liaison between the providers and MA/nursing staff regarding updated recommendations, workflow changes, and process improvement.
- Conducts Clinical DOR meetings, with system collaboration, to deliver Occupational health-specific education and training for MAs and LPNs.
- Creates and reviews clinical policies, SOPs, and protocols specific to Occupational Health needs.
- Oversees onboarding new clinical employees with regard to mentorship, access to clinical applications, goal setting, and weekly check-ins.
- Provides clinical insight to non-clinical staff including Occupational Health Specialists, Patient Access Specialists, Drug Screen Collectors, Practice Managers, and leadership in general.
- Facilities Occupational Health services for St. Luke’s contracted employees and travelers with regard to medical clearance, respirator fit testing, and immunization & titer requests.
- Champions the SMART program and supports survey compliance from a clinical standpoint through supervision and education.
- Trouble-shoots issues and mitigates clinical errors with re-education and improvement plans.
- Acts as a coordinator for the IHT needs by sitting on a design team and CAS meetings to help the clinical and technology needs connect in a department with endless nuances created by the employment record permissions and Workman’s Compensation.
- Supports on-site services by exercising autonomy and leadership with the scope of practice needed to execute RN-driven protocols and workflows as outlined by St. Luke’s. This RN would be required to travel across the system to support the volume of work.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
- Experience: 3 years' experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
