  • Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO).  ALL RTO MUST BE FINALIZED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION

  • No new RTO after submission. NO ADDITIONAL RTO OR SCHEDULE REQUESTS CAN BE REQUESTED POST SUBMISSION, POST OFFER OR POST START/ONSITE

  • No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment. 

• License Information: 

  • MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). 

  • IL: License in hand required at time of submittal. 

  • Compact: Must match permanent residence—otherwise submit for update + confirm ETA. 

• Radius/Local Rules: 

  • No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius.  

  • No local travelers allowed, except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants. 

• Tenure Policy / Returning Staff and Tenure Policy (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles):  

  • 18 months with a 3-month break in service required. 

  • Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. 

• Floating: 

  • All travelers will float within service line.

  • Please note, contract length is firm. 

• Booking Rules:

Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor's discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity.

1. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions

     • All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. 

2. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
