The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical Surgical Unit plays a critical role in coordinating patient care and providing specialized nursing services. Responsible for supervising LPNs and support nursing staff, this position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and address patient needs, providing compassionate and comprehensive care.
Work collaboratively with nursing personnel, providing supervision and guidance as needed.
Maintain accurate and organized records, preparing reports in a timely manner.
Ensure a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients, adhering to quality standards.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
Exhibit outstanding customer service attitude in all patient and family interactions.
Utilize superb organizational skills in managing supplies and equipment efficiently.
Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations, providing appropriate support and assistance.
Proficiently manage electronic records management systems, demonstrating strong computer skills.
Qualifications:

Education:

Associate of Nursing (Required)
Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:

New York RN (Required)
BLS (Preferred)
Experience:

Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
