Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed CVICU with staffing ratios of 2:1 or 1:1.
• Perform titration of vesicant medications and manage sedatives and paralytics as needed.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Ventilators, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pumps, IABP, CRRT, and Impella devices.
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Float to all areas as needed and adhere to facility's documentation system (Cerner).
• Engage in rotating weekend assignments and 12-hour shifts as part of a 36-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state license.
• ICU or CVICU experience is required.
• Proficiency in titration of vesicant meds, use of pressors, and sedation management.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care, and telemetry systems.
• Skill in performing procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, and chest tube maintenance.
• CCRN certification is recommended but not required.
