Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a 40-bed unit with an average daily census of 24, including cardiac med/surg and post-surgical patients.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Administer and titrate medications including Heparin, Nitro, and Dopamine.
• Work with various patient conditions such as sepsis and respiratory issues using RT equipment like high flow.
• Conduct patient education and engage with a diverse population, including Hispanic and Somalian communities.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts as per the scheduling requirements.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and eligibility for submission.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently.
• Competency in arterial line management.
• Pass an open book, skills-based exam with a minimum score of 90%.
• Flexible and adaptable to unit needs, willing to float between PCU, MedSurg, and ICU.
