Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a mixed acuity patient population on a 48-bed unit specializing in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
• Float frequently within the hospital to areas such as various wards and step-down units as required.
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios effectively, ensuring a high standard of care in both MS/Tele and Stepdown settings.
• Administer and manage multiple drips such as Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin, ensuring proper patient monitoring and response.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, LPNs, and care techs to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC charting system efficiently to document patient information accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Active RN license; pending license accepted with conditions.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications.
• Expertise in cardiac telemetry, central line care, heparin protocols, and IVs.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required; familiar with rapid response protocols.
• Compliance with facility's nicotine-free policy and ability to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs.
