Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Oncology to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and manage infusion pumps in an outpatient setting.
- Coordinate and provide education to patients and families regarding oncology care plans.
- Monitor patients for side effects and response to treatment, and communicate findings to the care team.
- Perform phlebotomy and maintain veins and ports for therapy sessions.
- Implement infection prevention measures, including neutropenic precautions.
- Chart patient care utilizing the Epic system, ensuring accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Current RN license, with 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience required.
- BLS AHA certification mandatory; ONS certification preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience is essential.
- Proficient in accessing and managing ports, and central line care.
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and patient monitoring.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
