Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Oncology to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in surgical oncology units focusing on post-operative care for patients with cancer-related diagnoses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams and physical therapy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Administer medications, including antibiotics and narcotic agents, in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in patient education and support for families regarding post-operative milestones and discharge plans.
- Float to similar units as needed to maintain staffing ratios and ensure quality patient care.
- Utilize charting systems such as Epic to document patient care activities accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current AHA BLS certification and CO or Compact RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years in acute care nursing with experience in surgical oncology units.
- Experience with charting using Epic system is required.
- First-timers accepted with previous teaching hospital experience for travel assignments.
- Previous experience working in flexible nurse-to-patient ratio environments.
- Ability to care for patients with complex oncological conditions and post-operative needs.
