Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Surgical First Assist to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in orthopedic robotic surgeries and other operative procedures.
• Participate in a 13-week contract with Monday through Friday 10-hour shifts.
• Fulfill weekday, weekend, and holiday call requirements, ensuring timely response for emergencies.
• Support C-sections and main OR procedures, including room and instrument preparation.
• Complete required on-call duties, including post-operative care in PACU.
• Adhere to set schedules and provide weekend and holiday coverage as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio surgical certification or the ability to obtain one prior to start.
• Proven experience in surgical assistance, especially in orthopedic robotics.
• Ability to respond to on-call situations within 20 minutes.
• Flu vaccine required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to compliance with hospital and professional standards.
