Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in labor and delivery settings, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and fetal heart rates, observing for unusual symptoms and implementing appropriate interventions.
• Assist in delivery procedures, including cesarean sections, ensuring sterile environments and proper technique.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care activities.
• Educate patients and their families on postnatal care, breastfeeding, and newborn care to ensure proper health practices.
• Manage medication and treatment administration, including management of insulin drips and magnesium sulfate therapy.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted CA RN license.
• Two years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with the ability to circulate during deliveries.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system and ability to work efficiently in a large, fast-paced hospital environment.
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies and management of antepartum and postpartum complications.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, with willingness to accommodate weekends and holiday shifts as needed.
