Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adult and pediatric patients in the PACU with a variety of surgical cases including general, ortho, neuro, vascular, burn, and Gyn.
- Assist in recovery of ICU patients in PACU during overflow, managing pressors, sedation, and vented patients.
- Use Cerner EMR system for effective charting.
- Collaborate with Charge Nurse and utilize available Nurse Aids during business hours.
- Adhere to hospital policies including dress code and cancellation policy.
- Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in PACU and ICU settings.
- Experience with pediatric cases is required.
- Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and PALS certifications are mandatory.
- Familiarity with managing medical equipment such as ventilators in coordination with Respiratory Therapists.
- Strong understanding of Cerner EMR for patient charting.
- Active RN license required; BSN not required.
