Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - NICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide complex medical and surgical care for neonatal patients, including those with prematurity and birth defects.
- Manage neonates with fluid management needs, fresh tracheostomies, cooling protocols, and various ventilation modes.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 in a Level IV NICU setting as required.
- Float to PICU, CICU, and acute care floors as needed, supporting patient care across units.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in a teaching and Magnet facility, adhering to EPIC charting standards.
- Participate in weekend and potential on-call rotations as dictated by unit needs.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, with at least 3-4 years in a Level IV NICU preferred.
- Current RN license in Washington or a compact state license, with eligibility to obtain a Washington license before start date.
- Completion of at least 2 previous travel assignments in level IV NICU environments.
- Certification in PALS and BLS; NRP certification preferred.
- Proficiency in managing complex surgical cases and high acuity neonates, including post-abdominal and cardiac procedures.
- Experience with EPIC charting systems is preferred.
