Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Emergency Room to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy emergency room setting, adjusting to fluctuating patient census and acuity.
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans in accordance with established protocols.
- Utilize advanced nursing skills to manage ventilatory support and IV therapy independently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the highest level of patient care and support.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC, ensuring compliance with facility standards.
- Adapt to the requirements of a fast-track emergency environment, including procedures specific to various patient populations.
Qualifications
- Current NY nursing license or proof of application; licensing considerations will be included in start date planning.
- Minimum of 1-year recent experience in an emergency room setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required.
- Proficient in EPIC documentation system with experience within the last two years.
- Ability to handle a nurse-patient ratio of 1:5 in a dynamic environment.
- Prior traveling nurse experience and charge experience preferred.
